Ball Comparison between Two Efficient Weighted-Newton-like Solvers for Equations
We compare the convergence balls and the dynamical behaviors of two efficient weighted-Newton-like equation solvers by Sharma and Arora, and Grau-Sánchez et al.

We propose a new iterative scheme without memory for solving nonlinear equations. The proposed scheme is based on a cubically convergent Hansen–Patrick-type method.

Efficient two-step with memory methods and their dynamics. [PDF]
In this work,a fourth-order without-memory method is proposed that has a self-accelerator parameter. This method doesn’t need to compute a derivative function forsolving nonlinear equations. We have approximated the self-accelerator parameter andhave ...

Abstract Basins of Attraction [PDF]
Abstract basins appear naturally in different areas of several complex variables. In this survey we want to describe three different topics in which they play an important role, leading to interesting open problems.

Recognizing Sets in Evolutionary Multiobjective Optimization
Among Evolutionary Multiobjective Optimization Algorithms (EMOA) there are many which find only Paretooptimal solutions. These may not be enough in case of multimodal problems and non-connected Pareto fronts, where more information about the shape of ...

We generalize the results of arXiv:1212.1875 and arXiv:1212.6919 on attraction basins and their boundaries to the case of a specific class of rotating black holes, namely the ergo-free branch of extremal black holes in Kaluza-Klein theory.

A Novel Mega-stable Chaotic Circuit [PDF]
In recent years designing new multistable chaotic oscillators has been of noticeable interest. A multistable system is a double-edged sword which can have many benefits in some applications while in some other situations they can be even dangerous.

Basins of attraction of chimera states on networks
Networks of identical coupled oscillators display a remarkable spatiotemporal pattern, the chimera state, where coherent oscillations coexist with incoherent ones. In this paper we show quantitatively in terms of basin stability that stable and breathing chimera states in the original two coupled networks typically have very small basins of attraction.

Edge states control droplet break-up in sub-critical extensional flows [PDF]
A fluid droplet suspended in an extensional flow of moderate intensity may break into pieces, depending on the amplitude of the initial droplet deformation. In subcritical uniaxial extensional flow the non-breaking base state is linearly stable, implying

We consider the following system of difference equations: xn+1=xn2/B1xn2+C1yn2, yn+1=yn2/A2+B2xn2+C2yn2, n=0, 1, …, where B1, C1, A2, B2, C2 are positive constants and x0, y0≥0 are initial conditions.
