Chronic wasting disease (CWD) in cervids
Abstract In April and May of 2016, Norway confirmed two cases of chronic wasting disease (CWD) in a wild reindeer and a wild moose, respectively. In the light of this emerging issue, the European Commission requested EFSA to recommend surveillance activities and, if necessary, additional animal health risk‐based measures to prevent the introduction of ...

This study introduces a novel family of hybrid Kantorovich‐type operators for the Baskakov–Schurer–Stancu class, integrated with a shape parameter α ∈ [0, 1]. We establish fundamental estimates and evaluate both the rate of convergence and the order of approximation utilizing the Korovkin theorem and the modulus of smoothness.

On Simultaneous Approximation of Modified Baskakov‐Durrmeyer Operators
We discuss properties of modified Baskakov‐Durrmeyer‐Stancu (BDS) operators with parameter γ > 0. We compute the moments of these modified operators. Also, we establish pointwise convergence, Voronovskaja type asymptotic formula, and an error estimation in terms of second order modification of continuity of the function for the operators Bn,γα,β(f,x).

Controllability and Modeling Perspectives of Tempered Ψ‐Caputo Fractional Systems
In this article, we investigated the controllability of fractional dynamical systems (FDS) involving the tempered Ψ‐Caputo fractional derivative (FD). First, we derived the solution representation for this generalized FD with the help of Laplace transform and Mittag–Leffler (M‐L) function.

Rate of Convergence of Modified Baskakov‐Durrmeyer Type Operators for Functions of Bounded Variation
We study a certain integral modification of well‐known Baskakov operators with weight function of beta basis function. We establish rate of convergence for these operators for functions having derivative of bounded variation. Also, we discuss Stancu type generalization of these operators.

An experimental flow regime map to dynamically structure gas–solid bubbling fluidized beds
Abstract Employing oscillatory gas flows to create ordered bubble dynamics in fluidized beds represents a promising approach in reactor design, enhancing efficiency, scalability, and control. This study reports an extensive experimental campaign that identifies the operational regime for structuring Geldart B fluidized beds, introducing a novel pattern

A Bernstein‐Like Trigonometric Basis: Properties, Curve Design, and Operator Construction
We introduce a novel family of trigonometric basis functions equipped with a shape parameter, analogous to Bernstein functions. These basis functions are employed to construct Bézier‐like curves, termed “trigo‐curves”, which retain the fundamental properties of classical Bézier curves while offering enhanced shape control through parameter adjustment ...

The Motherland and the Fight with Fascism: War Cult and War Film under Brezhnev (1965–82)
Abstract This article, based on extensive archival documentation, newspapers, and periodicals, examines the impact upon the Soviet film industry of shifts in top‐level policy relating to representation of the war. It contends that Leonid Brezhnev’s May 8, 1965, speech on the eve of Victory Day propounded an inclusive vision of the war (later sections ...

Simple 3D spheroid cell culture model for studies of prion infection
Gentle rocking of CAD 5 cells suspension leads to spontaneous formation of 3D spheroids, which could be cultured up to 12 weeks and infected by prions. The presence of pathological prion protein PrPTSE in the infected spheroids was confirmed by Immunohistochemistry (red arrows), western blot and by seed amplification assay.
