Stationary distributions and optimal control of queues with batch Markovian arrival process under multiple adaptive vacations

Computers and Industrial Engineering, 2013
We consider an infinite-buffer single server queue with batch Markovian arrival process (BMAP) and exhaustive service discipline under multiple adaptive vacation policy. That is, the server serves until system emptied and after that server takes a random maximum number H different vacations until either he finds at least one customer in queue or the ...

Higher Order Moments and Conditional Asymptotics of the Batch Markovian Arrival Process

Stochastic Models, 2007
We consider the number of arrivals in a Batch Markovian Arrival Process (BMAP) and derive matrix analytic expressions for its moments of arbitrary order. These expressions consist of decomposition formulas connected to the semigroup structure of the moments, forward and backward differential equations, and recursive as well as direct integral formulas.

New results on the single server queue with a batch markovian arrival process

Stochastic Models, 1991
The versatile Markovian point process was introduced by M. F. Neuts in 1979. This is a rich class of point processes whichcontains many familiar arrival process as very special cases. Recently, the Batch Markovian Arrival Process, a class of point processes which was subsequently shown to be equivalent to Neuts’ point process, has been studied using a ...

Finite Buffer Vacation Queue under E-limited with Limit Variation Service and Batch Markovian Arrival Process

Quality Technology and Quantitative Management, 2008
We consider a finite-buffer single server queue with single (multiple) vacation(s) under batch Markovian Arrival Process (BMAP). The service discipline is varying number limited service, also called E-limited with limit variation (ELV) where the server serves until either the system is emptied or a randomly chosen limit of l customers have been served.

Analyzing the finite buffer batch arrival queue under Markovian service process: GI X /MSP/1/N

Top, 2007
We consider a batch arrival finite buffer single server queue with inter-batch arrival times are generally distributed and arrivals occur in batches of random size. The service process is correlated and its structure is presented through Markovian service process (MSP). The model is analyzed for two possible customer rejection strategies: partial batch
