Dielectric properties of BaTiO3 and La doped BaTiO3 ceramics
Pramana, 1991The dielectric constant and loss tangent of barium titanate and barium titanate doped with 0.4% (mole) La ceramics have been studied in the frequency range 22 KHz-70 MHz at room temperature and in the temperature range 20°C–170°C at 22 KHz using aQ-meter.

Phase transitions in BaTiO3 thin films and BaTiO3/BaZrO3 superlattices
Journal of Applied Physics, 2014Using pulsed laser deposition, we grew a ferroelectric [BaTiO3]Λ/2/[BaZrO3]Λ/2 (BT/BZ) superlattice with a stacking periodicity of Λ = 256 Å and a BT single film on a La1/2Sr1/2CoO3-buffered (001)MgO substrate, and then studied the phase transitions of these materials.

Abstract Highly (110)-oriented trilayered BaTiO 3 (25 nm) /(Na 0.5 Bi 0.5 ) 0.94 Ba 0.06 TiO 3 (300 nm) / BaTiO 3 (25 nm) thin films were deposited on Pt/Ti/SiO 2 /Si substrates via chemical solution deposition. It was found that the inserted bottom BaTiO 3 layer between Pt and (Na 0.5 Bi 0.5 ) 0.94 Ba 0.06 TiO 3 is very effective for promoting ...

Dispersion of BaTiO3 powders (part I)
Ceramics International, 1984Abstract The fundamental properties of BaTiO 3 dispersions in pure organic liquids and water were studied by sediment volume and contact angle measurements. The liquid groups included alcohols, aldehydes, acids, esters, ketones, ethers, hydrocarbons, and water.

Direct observation of BaTiO3 microcrystallites in thin amorphous BaTiO3 films
Applied Physics Letters, 1991Well separated BaTiO3 microcrystallites were observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) in rapidly annealed, amorphous BaTiO3 thin films. The crystallization temperature for amorphous BaTiO3 is between 400 °C and 500 °C.

Nano-BaTiO3 phase transition behavior in coated BaTiO3-based dielectric ceramics
Ceramics International, 2019Abstract In this work, the phase structure of BaTiO3 nanopowders produced by the alkoxide-hydroxide and the hydrothermal method, respectively, was systemically investigated. BaTiO3 nanopowders with cubic phase produced by the alkoxide-hydroxide method could transform to tetragonal phase when heated to about 1100 °C.

Effect of BaTiO3 size on dielectric property of BaTiO3/PVDF composites
Journal of Electroceramics, 2007The BaTiO3/polyvinylidene fluoride (BaTiO3/PVDF) polymer-based composites with different size and concentration of BaTiO3 particles were fabricated via a simple physical mixing and subsequently hot-press processing. Effect of the filler size and frequency on the dielectric properties of the BaTiO3/PVDF binary composites was discussed.

Heating effect of BaTiO3 in microwave field and microstructure of BaTiO3
Science in China Series A: Mathematics, 1997Microwave equipment at 2 450 MHz was employed to prepare BaTiO3. The heating effect of the system in the microwave field, which was influenced by several factors including dielectric properties of synthesis system and thermal insulate structures, was discussed in detail. The heating rates of the synthesis system were mainly determined by BaCO3 and TiO2

The level of microstructure in BaTiO3-ceramics structural hierarchy can be considered to a certain extent in the scope of adequate and logically consistent apparatus. Such apparatus for the microstructure is the theory of grain boundaries. Research of processes acting on boundaries and on contacts between two or more grains of sintered BaTiO3-ceramic ...

Publisher Summary It is noted that the barium titanate (BaTiO3) crystal is ferroelectric at room temperature. The crystal structure is perovskite, cubic above the Curie temperature, and tetragonal below the Curie temperature. At room temperature, the a axis is longer than the a axis by 1%.
