BaTiO 3 shows relaxation effects when minute concentrations of Bi+3 and Fe+3 are added in varying molar ratios. Addition of Bi+3 at the A site reduces the transition maximum (Tm), whereas Fe+3 addition at the B site reduces the value of dielectric constant.

Electroluminescence in ferroelectric BaTiO3
Ferroelectrics, 1980The luminescence emission during polarization reversal in pure BaTiO3 has been investigated. A parallel study of switching and emission light in the temperature range -100°C to 130°C, that contains the four crystallographic phases of the BaTiO3 has been carried out in polydomain and 180-domain samples.

The activation field α of barium titanate single crystals has been measured over a range of thicknesses from 350 μ to 4 μ using liquid electrodes. From these measurements it has been deduced that barium titanate has a surface layer of layers with a total thickness of 25±5 μ.

Abstract Possible defect disorders are considered for BaTiO 3 within both n -type and p -type regimes. Basic for defect structure considerations is the model which is build up on a general lattice electroneutrality conditions. Simplified electroneutrality conditions are discussed in terms of several defect models within both n -type and p -type ...

Barium titanate have the valuable electrophisical properties but at heating in vacuum to 600??C BaTiO3 loses the oxygen and its properties varieties. It restricts using of standard metallization and brazing technologies for BaTiO3-ceramic so the technology of BaTiO3-ceramic metallization and soldering at lower temperatures was the aim of present study.

The complex research of the contact interaction and wetting of BaTiO3 - perovskite ceramics by metal melts is carried out. Two states of barium titanate were studied: 1. semiconducting BaTiO3???x - with oxygen defect. The experiments in vacuum for 13 pure metals and for Ti-containing alloys Cu???Sn???Ti, Cu???Ga???Ti and Ag???Cu???Ti are executed.

Positron annihilation in BaTiO3
Physics Letters A, 1973Abstract The angular correlation of 2 γ-annihilation radiation has been measured in barium titanate single crystals. The effect on the angular correlation of the ferroelectricity in BaTiO 3 was not detected.
