Mantle reflections in the Bay of Biscay
Earth and Planetary Science Letters, 1972Abstract This paper describes the results of two experiments designed to obtain vertical mantle reflections in the Bay of Biscay. The first experiment consisted of a wide angle reflection and refraction profile to detail the structure of the area, while the second was a vertical reflection profile in the same location.

A seismic study in the Bay of Biscay
Earth and Planetary Science Letters, 1974Abstract This paper describes a series of two ship refraction experiments carried out in the Bay of Biscay in May 1970 to determine the crustal structure to the southeast of Gascony sea mount. The results show that the seismic structure is similar to that found on Line B further to the northwest, but that the mantle is deeper.

Earth and Planetary Science Letters, 1972Abstract Geodynamic aspects associated with Tertiary palaeomagnetism from Portugal have been seen in conjunction with available geological evidence from the Bay of Biscay. It is concluded that Iberia rotated away from the rest of Europe at about Early Oligocene time.

Earth-Science Reviews, 1978Abstract The anticlockwise rotation of the Iberian Peninsula away from south Brittany during the Mesozoic has been demonstrated from palaeomagnetic data. Marine magnetic, seismic and gravity surveys have indicated that there is oceanic crust in the Bay of Biscay.
