Some bayes estimation startegies in exponential distribution under a weighted loss function [PDF]
In Bayesian approach, prior knowledge is often vague and any elicited prior distribution is only an approximation to the true one. E-Bayes and robust Bayes approaches consider a class of prior distributions instead of a single prior.

Discriminant analysis of the equicorrelated Gaussian observations
In this paper the problem of classification of an observation into one of two Gaussian populations with different means and common variance is considered in the case when equicorrelated training sample is given.

On Inconsistent Bayes Estimates of Location
This paper is related to the authors paper ibid. 14, 1-26 (1986; see the foregoing review, Zbl 0595.62022). In some relatively natural settings, Bayes estimates of location are shown to be inconsistent.

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Estimation of the Rayleigh Distribution under Unified Hybrid Censoring
We derive some estimators of the scale parameter of the Rayleigh distribution under the unified hybrid censoring scheme. We also derive some estimators of the reliability function and the entropy of the Rayleigh distribution. First, we obtain the maximum

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

AbstractIn this paper the author tries to give general conditions for the existence of Bayes estimates and for the consistency of sequences of Bayes estimates. In Section 3 we prove existence theorems for Bayes estimates, which contain those of DeGroot and Rao [3], as a special case.

Bayes Estimation with Convex Loss
Let $X$ be a generalized random variable taking values in an abstract set $\mathscr{X}$ on which is defined an appropriate $\sigma$-field of subsets. Suppose that the distribution of $X$ depends on a real parameter $\Theta$ and that it is desired to estimate the value of $\Theta$ from an observation on $X$.

A Bayes Linear Bayes Method for Estimation of Correlated Event Rates [PDF]
Typically, full Bayesian estimation of correlated event rates can be computationally challenging since estimators are intractable. When estimation of event rates represents one activity within a larger modeling process, there is an incentive to develop more efficient inference than provided by a full Bayesian model.

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...
