Bayes Factors Based on Test Statistics

open access: yesJournal of the Royal Statistical Society Series B: Statistical Methodology, 2005
SummaryTraditionally, the use of Bayes factors has required the specification of proper prior distributions on model parameters that are implicit to both null and alternative hypotheses. I describe an approach to defining Bayes factors based on modelling test statistics.

Inhibition of Calcium‐Dependent Lipid Droplets Relocation of ACSL4‐PKCβ‐ALOX15 Complex Alleviates Ferroptosis and Acute Pancreatitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies L‐type calcium channel blockers as novel ferroptosis inhibitors. It reveals that PKCβ, activated in calcium dependent manner, phosphorylates and activates ACSL4 and ALOX15, relocating them to lipid droplets to promote lethal lipid peroxidation and ferroptosis.

TESTING FOR COINTEGRATION RANK USING BAYES FACTORS [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper proposes Bayesian methods for estimating the cointegration rank using Bayes factors. We consider natural conjugate priors for computing Bayes factors. First, we estimate the cointegrating vectors for each possible rank.

Sphingomonas paucimobilis‐Driven Epithelial–Endothelial Transition in Adenomyosis Pathogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies epithelial–endothelial transition (EET) as a novel adenomyosis pathogenic mechanism driven by Sphingomonas paucimobilis colonization. Systematic inhibitor experiments validate a TNFα→NF‐κB→MMP signaling cascade essential for EET. Critically, bacterial culture supernatant fails to induce pathological changes, demonstrating viable ...
