Closing the Empirical Loop: Autonomous AI Agents Conduct End‐to‐end Research With Human Participants
A multi‐agent AI system autonomously executes the complete scientific workflow, from hypothesis to manuscript, across three psychological studies involving 288 participants. The system designs experiments, collects real world data, develops analysis pipelines, and writes manuscripts with theoretical rigor comparable to experienced researchers.

A Bayesian DSGE Model with Infinite-Horizon Learning: Do "Mechanical" Sources of Persistence Become Superfluous? [PDF]
This paper estimates a monetary DSGE model with learning introduced from the primitive assumptions. The model nests infinite-horizon learning and features, such as habit formation in consumption and inflation indexation, that are essential for the model ...

Bayesian Learning in Undirected Graphical Models: Approximate MCMC algorithms [PDF]
Bayesian learning in undirected graphical models—computing posterior distributions over parameters and predictive quantities—is exceptionally difficult.

Self-Correcting Bayesian Optimization through Bayesian Active Learning [PDF]
Gaussian processes are the model of choice in Bayesian optimization and active learning. Yet, they are highly dependent on cleverly chosen hyperparameters to reach their full potential, and little effort is devoted to finding good hyperparameters in the ...

The phantastic organ: predictive processing in the brain
Neuroscience has witnessed a curious inversion over the past decades, with a switch from views of the brain as abstracting information from sensory input to a view of the brain as a constructive organ, actively generating explanations for – and sampling –

Cancer‐Associated BCL‐2 Mutants Reveal Mechanisms Towards Venetoclax Resistance
Venetoclax (VEN) resistance in chronic lymphocytic leukemia arises from diverse BCL2 mutations. We map mechanisms contributing to VEN resistance across common BCL‐2 variants. G101V and D103Y reduce drug binding and increase sequestration of pro‐apoptotic proteins. V156D blocks VEN allosterically.

Students engage with and benefit from active learning when this is appropriately embedded in curriculum design [PDF]
The present investigation sought to evaluate the influence of active and blended learning approaches to teaching on student engagement, learning gains, confidence, and sense of belonging in their psychology course.

Blast Loading Prediction of Complex Structures Based on Bayesian Deep Active Learning
The prediction of blast loading for complex structures using deep learning requires extensive training data from field experiments or numerical simulations.

Computational simulations of tumor evolution are increasingly used to infer the rules underlying cancer growth, with the goal of one day recommending tailored treatments. Here we show that the properties of lung cancer sequencing data are best replicated by a model which assumes that cells compete both to proliferate and survive. ABSTRACT Computational

This work develops photocatalytic coatings for indoor formaldehyde removal on wood surfaces. It explores coating‐induced color variations and visual perception via eye‐tracking tests. Combined with XGBoost and Bayesian optimization, an intelligent design framework is established to guide the optimization of visually friendly wood photocatalytic ...
