A procedure for tidal analysis with a Bayesian information criterion [PDF]
SUMMARY A computer algorithm for tidal analysis is developed, based on a Bayesian method proposed by Ishiguro ef af. (1983). The basic assumption of the method is smoothness of the drift. This assumption is represented in the form of prior probability in the Bayesian model.

Clustering Algorithm Reveals Dopamine‐Motor Mismatch in Cognitively Preserved Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective To explore the relationship between dopaminergic denervation and motor impairment in two de novo Parkinson's disease (PD) cohorts. Methods n = 249 PD patients from Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) and n = 84 from an external clinical cohort.

Multiple Regression Model Selection by Information Criteria [PDF]
In this paper, I considered the problem of selection a model from a collection of candidate models specified by multiple linear regression model. Two criteria are used and compared, they are Akaike information criterion ( ) and Bayesian information ...

A bayesian approach for predicting with polynomial regresión of unknown degree. [PDF]
This article presents a comparison of four methods to compute the posterior probabilities of the possible orders in polynomial regression models. These posterior probabilities are used for forecasting by using Bayesian model averaging.

A new penalty term for the BIC with respect to speaker diarization [PDF]
In this paper we examine a new penalty term for the Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC) that is suited to the problem of speaker diarization. Based on our previous approach of penalizing each cluster only with its effective sample size - an approach we ...

Quantifying the Impact of Ocrelizumab on Paramagnetic Rim Lesions in Multiple Sclerosis
ABSTRACT Paramagnetic rim lesions (PRLs) are a subset of chronic active multiple sclerosis (MS) lesions marked by iron‐laden microglia and macrophages. Ocrelizumab, a monoclonal antibody targeting CD20+ B cells, suppresses acute MS activity, but its effect on PRLs remains unclear. In a longitudinal study of 29 ocrelizumab‐treated patients with at least

Prior elicitation and variable selection for bayesian quantile regression [PDF]
This thesis was submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and awarded by Brunel University.Bayesian subset selection suffers from three important difficulties: assigning priors over model space, assigning priors to all components of the regression

Efficacy of Inebilizumab in N‐MOmentum Trial Participants With or Without Prior Immunosuppressants
ABSTRACT This post hoc analysis examined the impact of prior immunosuppressants on the long‐term efficacy and safety of inebilizumab, a cluster of differentiation 19+ B‐cell–depleting monoclonal antibody, in participants with aquaporin‐4–seropositive neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder from the N‐MOmentum trial (NTC02200770).
