Bayesian Nash Equilibrium in Electricity Spot Markets: An Affine-Plane Approximation Approach
IEEE Transactions on Control of Network Systems, 2022This paper proposes a system of stochastic Mixed Complementarity Problems for calculating the Bayesian Nash Equilibrium (BNE) in an electricity spot market. The generators submit strategic multi-level price-offer functions under incomplete information about their rivals marginal cost.

Invariance under type morphisms: the bayesian Nash equilibrium [PDF]
Ely and Peski (2006) and Friedenberg and Meier (2010) provide examples when changing the type space behind a game, taking a "bigger" type space, induces changes of Bayesian Nash Equilibria, in other words, the Bayesian Nash Equilibrium is not invariant under type morphisms. In this paper we introduce the notion of strong type morphism.

Bayes–Nash: Bayesian inference for Nash equilibrium selection in human-robot parallel play
Autonomous Robots, 2021We consider shared workspace scenarios with humans and robots acting to achieve independent goals, termed as parallel play. We model these as general-sum games and construct a framework that utilizes the Nash equilibrium solution concept to consider the interactive effect of both agents while planning.

An Experiment to Evaluate Bayesian Learning of Nash Equilibrium Play
Games and Economic Behavior, 2001The authors report on an experiment designed to evaluate the empirical implications of Jordan's model of Bayesian learning in games of incomplete information. A finite example is constructed. When the ``true'' game defined by players' private information was one with a unique equilibrium in pure strategies, the experimental subjects' play converged to ...

Is Perfect Bayesian Equilibium a Subset of Nash Equilibrium?
Journal of Computer Science & Computational Mathematics, 2013Perfect Bayesian equilibrium is not a subset of Nash equilibrium. Perfect Bayesian equilibrium requires players to have beliefs that are consistent with the equilibrium strategies of other players. Nash equilibrium does not explicitly specify the beliefs of the players. However, the default beliefs held by players in Nash equilibrium are that the other

A Bayesian Nash Equilibrium of QoS-Aware Web Service Composition
2017 IEEE International Conference on Web Services (ICWS), 2017An important issue in QoS-aware Web service composition is how to select a set of Web services to perform the tasks within a requested service while meeting global QoS constraints. We consider the Web services are self-interested and will use dynamic pricing strategy. In general, the service cost is the minimum price acceptable to a Web service. We can

Bayesian Communication Leading to a Nash Equilibrium in Belief
2005A Bayesian communication in the p-belief system is presented which leads to a Nash equilibrium of a strategic form game through messages as a Bayesian updating process. In the communication process each player predicts the other players’ actions under his/her private information with probability at least his/her belief.

Bayesian Nash equilibrium bidding strategies for generation companies
2004 IEEE International Conference on Electric Utility Deregulation, Restructuring and Power Technologies. Proceedings, 2004With the reform of the electric power system and the development of generation power market in China, it is of significance to develop bidding strategies for generators. Bidding strategy is the profile of bidding price and bidding quantities, which is submitted by market participants, and auctioneer determines a rule to allocate the aggregate demand ...

Multi-games and bayesian nash equilibriums
2015A growing awareness of the prominent role the environment plays in multi-agent systems has led to gradual acceptance of its importance by the multi-agent system community in general. Within this line of research, we propose a new class of games, called Multi-Games.

In this chapter, we explain Harsanyi’s Bayesian framework for games with incomplete information. For normal-form games with incomplete information, Bayesian games and Bayesian Nash equilibrium are defined.
