SMAUG: Analyzing single-molecule tracks with nonparametric Bayesian statistics
Single-molecule fluorescence microscopy probes nanoscale, subcellular biology in real time. Existing methods for analyzing single-particle tracking data provide dynamical information, but can suffer from supervisory biases and high uncertainties.

Bayesian weighted Mendelian randomization for causal inference based on summary statistics [PDF]
MOTIVATION The results from Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) on thousands of phenotypes provide an unprecedented opportunity to infer the causal effect of one phenotype (exposure) on another (outcome).

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Bayesian statistics and Monte Carlo methods
The Bayesian approach allows an intuitive way to derive the methods of statistics. Probability is defined as a measure of the plausibility of statements or propositions. Three rules are sufficient to obtain the laws of probability.

Bayesian statistics-based analysis of AC impedance spectra
AC impedance spectroscopy is an important method for evaluating ionic, electronic, and dielectric properties of materials. In conventional analysis of AC impedance spectra, the selection of an equivalent circuit model and its initial parameters are ...

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Bayesian Reconstruction of Approximately Periodic Potentials at Finite Temperature [PDF]
The paper discusses the reconstruction of potentials for quantum systems at finite temperatures from observational data. A nonparametric approach is developed, based on the framework of Bayesian statistics, to solve such inverse problems.

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.
