Variation in Modern Human Deciduous Molar Enamel Formation Time

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Biological Anthropology, Volume 188, Issue 3, November 2025.
Human deciduous molar enamel cusp formation times are longer in contemporary populations compared to those from archaeological periods due to slower growth rates and an extended formation period after birth. ABSTRACT Objectives Histologically derived deciduous molar enamel formation times hold great potential for accessing information about the ...

Conflicting Discourses on Female Dissent in the Early Modern Period: The Case of Antoinette Bourignon (1616-1680)

Isoperimetric and Concentration Inequalities - Equivalence under Curvature Lower Bound

open access: yes, 2009
It is well known that isoperimetric inequalities imply in a very general measure-metric-space setting appropriate concentration inequalities. The former bound the boundary measure of sets as a function of their measure, whereas the latter bound the ...

Mononuclear Cu(II) complexes of novel salicylidene Schiff bases: synthesis and mesogenic properties [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Two new Schiff base ligands 1 and 2 (where 1 = 4-(2-hydroxybenzilidenamino)-phenyl-4-(decyloxy)-2-(pent-4-enyloxy)benzoate, 2 = 4-(4-(decyloxy)-2-hydroxybenziliden amino)-phenyl-4-(decyloxy)-2-(pent-4-enyloxy)benzoate) and their copper (Cu)(II) complexes

Interplay between Lithium Intercalation and Plating during Fast Charging of Lithium‐Ion Batteries Investigated by Operando NMR Spectroscopy

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 8, Issue 11, November 2025.
Lithium plating is investigated using operando nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and a three‐electrode design. The onset of plating occurs at a negative potential below −100 mV, while NMR spectra offer insights on the competition between graphite lithiation, plating, and re‐intercalation during charging.

Challenging Parole Decisions in England and Wales: Reconsideration and Set Aside

open access: yesThe Modern Law Review, Volume 88, Issue 6, Page 1051-1099, November 2025.
Of all the reforms to parole in England and Wales that were introduced after the furore surrounding the 2017 decision to direct the release of the so‐called ‘Black cab rapist’, John Worboys, perhaps the most important was the creation in 2019 of a reconsideration mechanism which obliges the Parole Board (on application) to take a second look at ...

One‐dimensional Carrollian fluids II: C1$C^1$ blow‐up criteria

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 112, Issue 5, November 2025.
Abstract The Carrollian fluid equations arise from the equations for relativistic fluids in the limit as the speed of light vanishes, and have recently experienced a surge of interest in the theoretical physics community in the context of asymptotic symmetries and flat‐space holography.
