A different approach to the typing of the section of the Bazhenov Formation is presented – the identification of the reference section of the Bazhenov high-carbon formation (BHCF). Six packs were distinguished according to lithological and paleontological features, and their general characteristics were given.

Petrographic study of bazhenov formation by polarization microscopy
Researches of bazhenov formation petrographic thin section was carried out in some wells of west Latitude Priob, that is important part of perspective analysis of bazhenov formation oil and gas content. Special aspects of thin section descriptions was detailed, that was confirmed by photo.

Formation of the oil composition of the Yu0 Bazhenov formation, Salym oil field
The Bazhenov horizon of Western Siberia has been studied in considerable detail from different perspectives and different methods, a large number of studies have been devoted to a wide range of issues related to the lithological composition of rocks, their reservoir properties, the study of organic matter, properties and composition of oil at various ...

Wettability of organic-rich source rocks: case study on Bazhenov Formation (Abalak-Bazhenov group) [PDF]
Abstract. In this work, we have investigated the wettability of Bazhenov Formation rock samples using a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), the methods of vapor adsorption, and wetting contact angle. We have conducted the petrographic description of rocks using ultra-thin sections and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

The Bazhenov Formation Rocks Wettability by NMR
Summary The petrophysical characteristics determination of the Bazhenov formation rocks is very difficult. Previously used adsorption method to study the wettability, due to the large organic matter content in the mineral matrix, showed a high degree of hydrophilicity.

Feasibility of the Bazhenov Formation Reservoir Hydrodynamic Model

Bazhenov formation phosphate containing interlayers as potential collectors
Possible reservoir type of Bazhenov formation relative to the intervals with increased content of phosphate is described in the resent work. It is shown that phosphate formations have highly connected pore space, porosity may achieve values up to 14%. These rocks also have explicit geochemical characteristics of oil reservoir rocks in comparison with ...

The study of hydrothermal influence on the Bazhenov formation breed
The purpose of the study was to investigate the hydrothermal influence on the breed of the Bazhenov Formation, study the process of oil displacement by superheated water. Conducted a physical simulation of the hydrothermal effects on the Bazhenov oil-source rocks at 100-250 oC.
