A >70‐Myr‐Long Geomagnetic Field Reversal Hyperactivity Across the Ediacaran‐Cambrian Transition

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 23, 16 December 2025.
Abstract The long‐term variation of the geomagnetic field is a key constraint for unraveling the geodynamo processes and the evolution of Earth's deep interior. However, the geomagnetic reversal pattern during the Ediacaran–Cambrian transition remains elusive. Here we present an integrated magneto‐ and cyclo‐stratigraphic study of a ∼1.8‐Myr‐long, late

WONOEP XVII appraisal: Targeting network excitability beyond the synapse ‐Neurotransmitter, ionic, and electro ‐diffusions

open access: yesEpilepsia, Volume 66, Issue 11, Page 4139-4161, November 2025.
Abstract Epilepsy affects approximately 1% of the population worldwide, and although medications are effective in the majority of cases, seizures persist in approximately 30% of patients. Despite the effort to develop new antiseizure drugs, the rate of pharmacoresistance in patients has not diminished over the past 3 decades. There is thus a real unmet

Stimulating the Stimulated Cortex—Frontocortical Anodal Electric Stimulation Combined With Closed‐Loop Acoustic Stimulation During Sleep Impairs Memory in Subjects With High Cognitive Ability

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neuroscience, Volume 62, Issue 7, October 2025.
Can responsiveness to closed‐loop acoustic stimulation (CLAS) be modulated by anodal transcranial direct current stimulation (AmodCLAS) during sleep? Such induced differences in excitability may partially explain variability in CLAS efficacy. AmodCLAS affected offline detected slow oscillations, reduced sleep efficiency, and REM sleep.

Hard-to-recover reserves of Yugra oil (West Siberia)

open access: yesГеофизический журнал, 2019
In 2017, the Yugra’s share of the all-Russian production was 43.0 %, it’s 235.3 million tons in absolute units. This is 3.9 million tons less than in 2016 and 43.1 million less than in 2007.

Iridium‐Doped Monoclinic Zirconia as a Catalyst for the Oxygen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 17, Issue 18, September 19, 2025.
Using density functional theory, we study Ir‐dopings of the monoclinic ZrO2${\rm ZrO}_2$ (1¯11$\bar{1}11$) surface in search of an Ir‐lean catalyst for the oxygen evolution reaction. These are found to be metastable compared to the separate phases of IrO2${\rm IrO}_2$ and ZrO2${\rm ZrO}_2$.

A Girls’ Army of Vengeance?: Perceptions of Sexual Violence against Children in post‐1905 Russia

open access: yesGender &History, Volume 37, Issue 2, Page 636-652, July 2025.
Abstract This article offers a microhistorical reading of a criminal case of sexual violence in 1908 St Petersburg. It traces the re‐interpretation of underage girls from innocent victims to potential prostitutes and carriers of debauchery and disease.
