ABSTRACT Temperature can play an important role in time allocation decisions like labour supply as workers seek to avoid harmful exposure or enjoy higher utility from leisure. Using time use survey data, we estimate the effect of temperature on labour supply in the UK.

Photodegradation of commercial insect repellents containing DEET and IR‐3535 under ultraviolet light associated or not with chemical ultraviolet filters evaluated by Raman spectroscopy

Photochemistry and Photobiology, EarlyView.
This study evaluated the photodegradation of commercial insect repellents containing DEET and IR‐3535 under UV‐A and UV‐B irradiation using Raman spectroscopy. Pure DEET and IR‐3535 showed intrinsic photostability, whereas DEET diluted in ethanol and a commercial DEET‐based formulation exhibited significant spectral changes after UV exposure.

Sun exposure and photoprotection: Habits, knowledge, and attitudes among elite beach soccer players

Photochemistry and Photobiology, EarlyView.
Elite beach soccer players experience high ultraviolet radiation exposure and frequent sunburn episodes despite widespread sunscreen use. Deficiencies in sunscreen reapplication, shade‐seeking behaviors, and skin surveillance practices were identified. These findings highlight the need for targeted photoprotection interventions in beach sports athletes.
