A Surface Hopping Gaussian Beam Method for High-Dimensional Transport Systems
We propose a surface hopping Gaussian beam method to numerically solve a class of high frequency linear transport systems in high spatial dimensions, based on asymptotic analysis.

Performance Comparison of FH/MC DS-CDMA with Single- and Multi-Carrier DS-CDMA
In this contribution we review the slow frequency hopping multicarrier direct-sequence code-division multiple-access (SFH/MC DS-CDMA). Then, the system's performance is ecalated and compared to that of the conventional single-carrier (SC) DS-CDMA and MC ...

Automated Spin‐Assisted Layer‐by‐Layer Epitaxy Produces Highly Oriented Mixed‐Linker MOF Thin Films
An automated spin‐assisted layer‐by‐layer growth method enables rapid fabrication of highly oriented Zn2BDC2DABCO metal‐organic framework thin films under ambient conditions. Correlative characterization confirms excellent reproducibility, uniform film formation, and exceptional out‐of‐plane orientation exceeding 85%.

Quantum‐Mechanical Wave Functions in Singular Potentials: Linear and Nonlinear States
The attractive singular potential −1/r2$-1/r^2$ gives rise to the quantum collapse in the 3D linear Schroedinger equation. The article summarizes theoretical results demonstrating suppression of the collapse and creation of the missing ground state (GS) in a gas of bosonic particles, carrying an electric dipole moment, which are pulled to the central ...

Guided Toward Equity: Communities of Practice and Organizational Change in Community Colleges
ABSTRACT Although community colleges advance equity by providing opportunities for marginalized students to pursue higher education, barriers to earning credentials remain, particularly for students of color. Higher education stakeholders are investing in “equity work” as organizations take responsibility for ensuring equitable outcomes.

We elucidate the fundamental influences of polymer polarity on Li+ ionic environments in solid polymer electrolytes by considering four critical components: Li+, FSI−, residual solvents, and polymer matrix. Beyond facilitating LiFSI dissociation and Li+ transport, our findings underscore previously overlooked roles of polymer polarity, thereby ...

Analysis of x‐ray absorption spectra of U(VI) and U(V) oxides indicates an important role of U 5f−O$5f-\rm{O}$ 2p$2p$ charge transfer for increasing the 5f$5f$ occupancy and thereby affecting the ground state properties. ABSTRACT The 5f$5f$ states were probed in ThO2$\rm{ThO}_2$ and U(VI) and U(V) oxides using x‐ray absorption spectroscopy at the ...
