The spatial distribution of beams with orbital angular momentum in the far field is known to be extremely sensitive to angular aberrations, such as astigmatism, coma and trefoil. This poses a challenge for conventional beam optimization strategies when a

Analysis on Beam Quality of Solid-State Tube MOPA System With Zigzag Beam Path
All-solid-state tube lasers (ASSTLs) with zigzag beam path combine the attractive properties of rod, slab, and disk lasers. However, the analysis on the beam quality of tube lasers is rarely reported.

Research on beam quality control technology of 2 μm antimonide semiconductor laser
Antimonide semiconductor laser is a new type of laser with unique advantages in the 2 μm band. However, employing FP cavities causes multiple transverse modes to degrade beam quality despite achieving higher power output.

The beam quality parameter of spirally polarized beams [PDF]
Starting from the expression for the quality parameter of a superposition of two general fields, the case of beams that can be written in terms of the polarization basis introduced by Gori is investigated. Different types of this class of beam are studied and compared. In particular, spirally polarized beams are considered.

60% Efficient Monolithically Wavelength-Stabilized 970-nm DBR Broad-Area Lasers
Progress in epitaxial design is shown to enable increased optical output power Popt and power conversion efficiency ηE and decreased lateral far-field divergence angle in GaAs-based distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) broad-area (BA) diode lasers ...

Beam Quality of a Nonideal Atom Laser [PDF]
We study the propagation of a non-interacting atom laser distorted by the strong lensing effect of the Bose-Einstein Condensate (BEC) from which it is outcoupled. We observe a transverse structure containing caustics that vary with the density within the residing BEC.

Beam Control in an Intracavity Frequency-Doubling Semiconductor Disk Laser
In this paper, we have demonstrated a 1.3 W green laser using a V-shaped intracavity frequency doubling 1036 nm semiconductor disk laser. The beam quality of the fundamental and second harmonic generation (SHG) laser is investigated.

Vector quality measure for vector beams [PDF]
Vector beams are spatial modes of light with spatially variant polarization states in the transverse profile. Over the years, vector beams have found their way into plenty of applications ranging from material processing and lithography to electron acceleration and particle trapping.

BEAM QUALITY MEASUREMENTS IN DIAGNOSTIC ROENTGENOLOGY [PDF]
Our work to date indicates that the 20th value layer in either aluminum or unit density material can, for one anatomic area of fixed section thickness, be used to predict exposures over a range of kilovoltages[See Figure in the PDF File]using a single type of roentgen-ray unit.
