Weak measurement [1,19] combined with quantum delayed-choice experiment that use quantum beam splitter instead of the beam splitter give rise to a surprising amplification effect, i.e., counterintuitive negative amplification effect.

Full field phase imaging using a harmonically matched diffraction grating pair based homodyne quadrature interferometer [PDF]
In this letter, the authors present a novel quadrature interferometry method based on the use of a harmonically matched shallow grating pair. Unlike a simple beam splitter or single shallow grating, the grating pair can confer a nontrivial interference ...

Spin correlated interferometry for polarized and unpolarized photons on a beam splitter [PDF]
Spin interferometry of the 4th order for independent polarized as well as unpolarized photons arriving simultaneously at a beam splitter and exhibiting spin correlation while leaving it, is formulated and discussed in the quantum approach.

Range and range rate system [PDF]
A video controlled solid state range finding system which requires no radar, high power laser, or sophisticated laser target is disclosed. The effective range of the system is from 1 to about 200 ft.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

High power electrostatic beam splitter for a proton beamline
The High Intensity Proton Accelerator facility (HIPA) delivers a 590 MeV cw (50.6 MHz) proton beam with up to 1.4 MW beam power (2.4 mA) to spallation and meson production targets serving particle physics experiments and material research.

Infrared All-Dielectric Metasurface Beam Splitter Based on Transflective Structures
Beam splitters are widely applied in various optical systems as a common beam-splitting device. The conventional stereoscopic and flat-type beam splitters greatly limit the packaging and integration of optical systems due to their large size and ...

Partitioning of on-demand electron pairs [PDF]
We demonstrate the high fidelity splitting of electron pairs emitted on demand from a dynamic quantum dot by an electronic beam splitter. The fidelity of pair splitting is inferred from the coincidence of arrival in two detector paths probed by a ...

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
