A Survey on Beam Steering Techniques in Printed Antennas

open access: yes, 2021
Beam steering antennas is essential part of various WCN (Wireless Communication Networks) such as radar and satellite communication. The increasing demand of high data rate, high SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) and high gain, therefore pattern reconfigurable

Application of Ibuprofen Sodium Dihydrate for Thermochemical Energy Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ibuprofen sodium dihydrate is introduced as a durable organic salt hydrate for low‐temperature thermochemical energy storage, operating within 60°C–110°C with high energy density. At the material level, it delivers ∼99.9% cycling efficiency over 150 cycles without deliquescence, enabled by a dual energy‐storage mechanism coupling dehydration and phase ...

Comparative Study of Adaptive Beam-Steering and Adaptive Modulation-Assisted Dynamic Channel Allocation Algorithms

open access: yes, 2001
—A range of dynamic channel allocation (DCA) algorithms, namely, distributed control and locally distributed control assisted DCA arrangements, are studied comparatively. The so-called locally optimized least interference algorithm (LOLIA) emerges as one

High capacity digital beam steering technology

open access: yes, 2013
A novel method is described in detail for steering light in many directions without moving mechanical parts. The method involves a combination of liquid crystal cells and polarizing beam splitters.

Designing Stable Periodic Magnetization Textures by Tailoring Anisotropies and Applying Geometrical Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work explores the possibility to design stable periodic magnetization textures by transforming a 2D film into a rolled‐up 3D architecture and back. In case of an isotropic exchange‐biased layer architecture, the magnetization encoded in the 3D state evolves into a spin‐spiral pattern with controlled periodicity after unrolling.

Controlled Engineering of 2D Alkali‐Iron‐Chloride Compounds and Lateral Quantum Heterostructures Within Confined Graphene Nanoreactors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a programmable atomic engineering strategy for 2D materials using Å‐scale nanoreactors formed by bilayer graphene (BLG) intercalation. A new class of alkali‐iron‐chloride compounds, along with lateral heterostructures composed of monolayer alkali halides and iron chlorides, is revealed.
