Effect of Laser Deoxidation on Adhesive‐Bonded Aluminum in an Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere
This study investigates laser ablation of aluminum under oxygen‐free conditions. The goal is to produce oxide‐free substrates that enable improved adhesive bonding with epoxy. Optimized laser parameters (90% overlap, 300 µJ) combined with oxide‐free substrates result in the highest tensile strength of the adhesive bond.

A method of predicting the energy-absorption capability of composite subfloor beams [PDF]
A simple method of predicting the energy-absorption capability of composite subfloor beam structure was developed. The method is based upon the weighted sum of the energy-absorption capability of constituent elements of a subfloor beam. An empirical data

Plans for Hadronic Structure Studies at J-PARC
Hadron-physics projects at J-PARC are explained. The J-PARC is the most-intense hadron-beam facility in the multi-GeV high-energy region. By using secondary beams of kaons, pions, and others as well as the primary-beam proton, various hadron projects are

This study investigates laser‐based oxide removal of Cu inserts in oxygen‐free conditions and examines long‐term oxidation kinetics and surface chemistry under different atmospheres via X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Al–Cu compound casting with differently oxidized surfaces is performed, and intermetallic phase formation, morphology, and thermal ...

Design of a 3 GHz Accelerator Structure for the CLIC Test Facility (CTF 3) Drive Beam [PDF]
For the CLIC two-beam scheme, a high-current, long-pulse drive beam is required for RF power generation. Taking advantage of the 3 GHz klystrons available at the LEP injector once LEP stops, a 180 MeV electron accelerator is being constructed for a ...

Effects of rf breakdown on the beam in the Compact Linear Collider prototype accelerator structure
Understanding the effects of RF breakdown in high-gradient accelerator structures on the accelerated beam is an extremely relevant aspect in the development of the Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) and is one of the main issues addressed at the Two-beam ...

The wettability of aluminum droplets (Al) on different copper substrates (Cu), where liquid Al spreads on solid Cu surfaces to form a liquid–solid interface, is studied numerically and experimentally. The experimental and numerical results show good agreement in the fast‐spreading regime.

Structural Robustness Analysis of Reverse Arch Beam String-Inclined Column Structure
Reverse arch beam string-inclined column structures have been applied in large-scale event venues due to their unique load-bearing characteristics. However, ensuring their resistance to progressive collapse remains a critical challenge.
