Lengthwise Crack Study of a Beam with Non-Linear Creep

open access: yesEngineering Transactions
An analytical study of the strain energy release rate for an inhomogeneous beam structure with a lengthwise crack subjected to non-linear creep is developed. The beam is inhomogeneous along its length.

Subsidence Prediction of Overburden Strata and Surface Based on the Voussoir Beam Structure Theory

open access: yesAdvance in Civil Engineering, 2018
The hard and stiff strata (key strata) bear the overburden load in the form of a voussoir beam structure (VBS) after break. The VBS affects both the surface subsidence and the stope underground pressure.

Evaluation of a novel EHR sidecar application to display RA clinical outcomes during clinic visits: results of a stepped‐wedge cluster randomized pragmatic trial

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective We developed a novel EHR sidecar application to visualize key rheumatoid arthritis (RA) outcomes, including disease activity, physical function, and pain, via a patient‐facing graphical interface designed for use during outpatient visits (“RA PRO dashboard”).

Bistable Mechanisms 3D Printing for Mechanically Programmable Vibration Control

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a 3D‐printed bistable mechanism integrated into tuned mass dampers (TMDs) for mechanically adaptive passive vibration suppression. Through optimized geometry, the bistable design provides adaptable vibration reduction across a broad range of scenarios, achieving effective vibration mitigation without complex controls or external ...

Enhancing Corrosion Resistance and Mechanical Strength of 3D‐Printed Iron Polylactic Acid for Marine Applications via Laser Surface Texturing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser surface texturing significantly improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of 3D‐printed iron polylactic acid (Ir‐PLA) for marine applications. Optimal laser parameters reduce corrosion by 80% and enhance tensile strength by 25% and ductility by 15%.

PLAL Nanoparticles yield enhancement through cylindrical lens beam shaping [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
This study allows us to understand both the beam structure and the production of NPs in pulsed laser ablation in liquids (PLAL) by modifying the spatial structure of the Gaussian beam.

Twisted EM beams with structured correlations

open access: yesOptics Letters, 2018
The possibility of restructuring the spectral density of a random light beam up to three times along the propagation path in free space is demonstrated. This can be achieved by prescribing special correlations and different twist factors (by magnitude and/or direction) in the two mutually orthogonal electric field components in the source plane.
