Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Failure analysis of superconducting bearings

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2006
The dynamics of superconductor bearings in a cryogenic failure scenario have been analyzed. As the superconductor warms up, the rotor goes through multiple resonance frequencies, begins to slow down and finally touches down when the superconductor goes through its transition temperature.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Bearing behavior and failure mechanism of squeezed branch piles

open access: yesJournal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, 2018
The current practice for the design of squeezed branch piles is mainly based on the calculated bearing capacity of circular piles. Insufficient considerations of the load-transfer mechanism, branch effect and failure mechanism, as well as overreliance on

Strength predictions of single-lap woven fabric Kenaf composites bolted joints

open access: yesJournal of Mechanical Engineering and Sciences, 2020
Application of woven fabric kenaf fibers in production of polymeric composites (known as woven fabric kenaf reinforced composite (WKRP)) were readily available in the literatures due to excellent tensile strength and elongation at break.

Investigation of Electrical Bearing Failures

open access: yes, 2023
Cette étude s'intéresse à l'effet des décharges capacitives, induites par les onduleurs d'alimentation des machines électriques, sur les roulements à billes. Un banc d'essai a été construit pour générer artificiellement une rugosité du roulement par électroérosion.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Cell‐cycle‐specific lesion evolution rather than inhibition of double‐strand‐break repair underpins cisplatin radiosensitization

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Life Analysis of Wear Fatigue Competition Failure Mechanism of Main Bearing of Boring Machine

open access: yesShanghai Jiaotong Daxue xuebao
The main bearing of a tunneling machine is prone to premature failure under the influence of multiple factors such as wear and fatigue during service, making it difficult to predict its lifetime.
