The Discharge and Corrosion Behavior of Al Anodes with Different Purity in Alkaline Solution
The replacement of high purity Al anodes with low purity Al meanwhile maintaining low self-corrosion and high electrochemical activity is of significance for commercial application of Al-air battery. In this paper, the discharge and corrosion behavior of

The influence of the pH on the electrolyte-SiO2-Si system studied by ion-sensitive fet measurements and quasi-static C-V measurements [PDF]
The responses of ion-sensitive FETs (ISFETs) with thermally grown SiO2 gate regions and of electrolyte-SiO2-Si (EOS) structures to stepwise changes in the pH were studied.\ud \ud In addition to a change in the boundary potential at the electrolyte-SiO2 ...

ABSTRACT Background Survivors of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) often exhibit early deficits in muscle and movement competence, which can compromise long‐term health. Integrative neuromuscular training (INT), a multifaceted approach combining fundamental movement activities with strength exercises, may help address these deficits during ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

KCa3.1 channel inhibition sensitizes malignant gliomas to temozolomide treatment [PDF]
Malignant gliomas are among the most frequent and aggressive cerebral tumors, characterized by high proliferative and invasive indexes. Standard therapy for patients, after surgery and radiotherapy, consists of temozolomide (TMZ), a methylating agent ...

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
