Identification of Anthocyanins in Amorphophallus titanum (Becc.) Becc.
Chromatographia, 2004The anthocyanic composition of Amorphophallus titanum (Becc.) Becc. ex Arcang. (Syn. Titan Arum), a plant growing only in the equatorial tropical rainforests of Sumatra, has been investigated for the first time. Spathe, spadix and female flowers were analysed and cyanidin-3-glucoside and cyanidin-3-rutinoside (which represent about 97% of the total ...

The Value of BECCS in IAMs: a Review [PDF]
AbstractPurpose of ReviewIntegrated assessment model (IAM) scenarios consistent with Paris Agreement targets involve large negative emission technologies (NETs), mostly bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS). Such reliance on BECCS implies IAMs assign it a high value.

The plant with the biggest inflorescence in the world is Amorphophallus titanum (Becc.) Becc. ex Arcang., originally described by Beccari as Conophallus titanum. In this work we discuss and determine the publication that must be regarded as the protologue, then designate a lectotype from among the original material.
