International Journal of Optics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.Trace gas real‐time detection in severe environments has been a challenge for traditional sensors. In this study, an infrared gas detection system has been developed for dangerous gas detection including CO and CH4. The detection system consists of a standalone instrument and a nonreflective gas cell which is linked with the instrument by optical fibre.
