Provenance Analysis Based on Cluster In‐Betweenness and Support Vector Machines: Identifying Migrant Candidates Using Multi‐Isotope Fingerprints

open access: yesArchaeometry, Volume 68, Issue 4, Page 607-619, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Provenance reconstruction using strontium and lead stable isotopes can produce complex multidimensional fingerprints, challenging traditional methods. Identifying nonlocals, who migrated between sites, is a major task. Migrants are identifiable by divergent multi‐isotope fingerprints due to isotopic mixing between origin and destination sites.

Soil Microbiome Predator Diversity Outperforms Nitrogen Addition in Boosting Plant Biomass via Bacterial Community Shifts

open access: yesGlobal Change Biology, Volume 32, Issue 8, August 2026.
Soil biodiversity may help reduce dependence on nitrogen fertilization, but experimental evidence remains limited. We tested how microbiome predator diversity (protists and nematodes) and nitrogen addition influence Cannabis sativa performance. Increasing microbiome predator diversity enhanced plant biomass by up to 60%, exceeding the effects of ...

Explicit Beliefs About Nonverbal Behavior and the Big Five Traits

open access: yesJournal of Personality, Volume 94, Issue 4, Page 678-689, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Everyday experience as well as the research literature on trait attributions suggest that people use nonverbal cues when judging the personality of a person. However, little research has reported on people's explicitly held beliefs about these associations.

Exploring the Relationship between Macrofaunal Biodiversity and Ecosystem Functioning in the Deep Sea

open access: yesFrontiers in Marine Science, 2017
The global scale of the biodiversity crisis has stimulated research into the relationship between biodiversity and ecosystem functioning (BEF). Even though the deep sea is the largest biome on Earth, BEF studies in deep-sea benthic ecosystems are scant ...

Detection and molecular characterization of the BEF virus in western Türkiye.

open access: yesVeterinaria italiana
Bovine ephemeral fever (BEF) is characterized by high fever, nasal and eye discharge, excessive salivation, muscle weakness, yield losses and or with high morbidity and low mortality. The first epidemic of BEFV in Turkey occurred in 1985 since then epidemics were reported every 2-4 years in the south and southeastern regions of Turkey.
