Dolomedes fishing spider biology: gaps and opportunities for future research

open access: yesFrontiers in Arachnid Science
Dolomedes may easily be considered to be among the most charismatic spider taxa. Known colloquially as fishing or raft spiders, this clade of dolomedid cursorial hunters is speciose with about 100 valid species names.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Green Organizational Behavior: A Systematic Review

open access: yesJournal of Management Archive
Background. Since it is current, it is important to systematically examine the concept of green organizational behavior, to provide researchers with a general view of the point where the concept has reached in the national literature and to give ...

Phylogenetics, systematics and biogeography of deep-sea Pennatulacea (Anthozoa: Octocorallia): evidence from molecules and morphology

open access: yes, 2008
Despite its extreme environmental conditions, the deep sea harbours a unique andspecies-rich fauna of mostly unknown age and phylogeny. Pennatulids (Anthozoa:Octocorallia) are a group whose taxonomy and phylogenetic relationships remain poorlyknown and ...

Social vocalizations and their implications for group dynamics of pallid bats (Antrozous pallidus) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Pallid bats (Antrozous pallidus) are unusual among vespertilionids (the most common and diverse family of bats in temperate regions of the world) in that they often emit a loud, partially audible social call several times in rapid succession while in ...

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Exploring sustainable urban mobility in Africa-and-MENA universities towards intersectional future research

open access: yesTransportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives
As university campuses in Africa and the MENA region represent key traffic hubs in their cities, this paper develops a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to conceptualize a “framework of action” for intersectional sustainable urban mobility.
