Abstract intelligence and cognitive robots
intelligence is the human enquiry of both natural and artificial intelligence at the neural, cognitive, functional, and logical levels reductively from the bottom up. According to the abstract intelligence theory, a cognitive robot is an autonomous robot

Average reward rates enable motivational transfer across independent reinforcement learning tasks
Outcomes and feedbacks on performance may influence behavior beyond the context in which it was received, yet it remains unclear what neurobehavioral mechanisms may account for such lingering influences on behavior. The average reward rate (ARR) has been

Behavioral modeling of power line communication channels for automotive applications [PDF]
The black-box modeling of a power line communication channel in a car is addressed in this paper. The proposed behavioral approach is based on the so-called multipath model representation, that describes the transmission of a signal on a possibly complex

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Fractional differential equations offer a natural framework for describing systems in which present states are influenced by the past. This work presents a nonlinear Caputo-type fractional differential equation (FDE) with a nonlocal initial condition and

Identifying Recent Behavioral Data Length in Mobile Phone Log
Mobile phone log data (e.g., phone call log) is not static as it is progressively added to day-by-day according to individ- ual's diverse behaviors with mobile phones.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...
