GmERF109 Positively Enhances Soybean Resistance to Phytophthora sojae by Transcriptionally Activating GmG4DT‐Like to Promote Glyceollin I Accumulation

GmERF109 is strongly induced in P. sojae‐resistant but not susceptible soybeans. GmERF109 functions as a nuclear AP2/ERF transcription factor, P. sojae directly binding the GCC‐box to activate GmG4DT‐like expression. The GmERF109–GmG4DT‐like module enhances glyceollin I accumulation for soybean resistance to P. sojae.
