No Art on a Dead Planet: Political Iconoclasm as Climate Activism
ABSTRACT A trend has recently emerged among climate activists of attacking artworks as a means of registering protest. I analyse this mode of protest, which I term political iconoclasm, and offer a novel partial defence of political iconoclasm as a protest strategy for environmental activists. I focus on Just Stop Oil's attack on van Gogh's Sunflowers.

Freeze‐Thaw Processes Induce Convective Fingering in Saline Soils
Abstract Saline soils in cold regions are often affected by freeze‐thaw processes, yet how these processes affect two‐dimensional salt transport dynamics remains poorly understood. Here, we show the importance of two‐dimensional flow induced by seasonal freeze‐thaw processes based on a validated numerical model.

Generation of entropy and forced convection of heat in a conduit partially filled with porous media- Local thermal non-equilibrium and exothermicity effects applied thermal engineering [PDF]
The performance of a two-dimensional, axisymmetric channel with porous inserts attached to the walls is analyzed from the perspective of the first and second laws of thermodynamics.

Roll convection of binary fluid mixtures in porous media
We investigate theoretically the nonlinear state of ideal straight rolls in the Rayleigh-B\'enard system of a fluid layer heated from below with a porous medium using a Galerkin method. Applying the Oberbeck-Boussinesq approximation, binary mixtures with
