Flight activity of belostomatidae in central Ivory Coast

Five species of Belostomatids were caught in a light trap placed in a tree savanna 3 km distant from a small artificial lake in central Ivory Coast. Only Diplonychus nepoides Fabr. was fairly abundant.The flights of this species present a well-marked lunar rhytmicity: 79% of the catches occur during the fortnight around full moon.
