Long-term analysis of bending moment resistance on pre-cast concrete beams
Durability design of structures is an important part of the design process. A possible method for the durability design is the probabilistic approach considering changes of structural resistance and the load effect during a certain time period. In order to determine stochastic parameters of structural resistance as a function of time, deterioration of ...

Prediction of bending moment resistance of screw connected joints in plywood members using regression models and compare with that commercial medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particleboard [PDF]
The study aimed at predicting bending moment resistance plywood of screw (coarse and fine threads) joints using regression models. Thickness of the member was 19mm and compared with medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particleboard with 18mm thicknesses.

Effect of wood species, joint techniques, and adhesive type on bending moment resistances were investigated. 480 L-shaped joint specimens were tested including 2 loadings, 4 wood species, 3 joint techniques, 2 adhesives, and 10 replications. Specimens were prepared from Scotch pine, Oriental beech, oak, and chestnut.

The influence of vertical shear on the hogging bending moment resistance of ComFlor composite slabs [PDF]
Composite slabs are designed to transfer loads in one direction e.g. the longitudinal direction of the ribs. To reduce the deflection, it is useful to realise a continuous slab with at least one intermediate support. At the intermediate support in addition to a hogging bending moment a rather large vertical shear force will act. For the verification of

Investigation on bending moment capacity of corner joints constructed with spline under diagonal tension and compression [PDF]
This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of the penetration depths (8, 11, 14) and material types of spline (high density fiber board (HDF), plywood and hornbeam wood (Carpinus betulus)) composite material types (MDF and particleboard) on bending

Analytical solution for the resistance of composite beams subjected to bending [PDF]
The paper deals with the resistance of steel and concrete composite beams, named BH beams, subjected to bending. They are structurally connected with prefabricated or cast in situ slabs, forming floor slab system. The beams under consideration consist of

The goal of this paper is to investigate the effect of the end distance of cam lock fasteners on the bending moment resistance of knock-down corner joints. The preliminary study of knock-down furniture assembly plans was done in order to discover the manufacturers’ fastener typical usage in case construction.
