Weed Technology, 1990 The effect of urea ammonium nitrate (UAN) on the antagonism of sethoxydim, haloxyfop, or the methyl ester of haloxyfop activity by bentazon was evaluated in greenhouse and field trials on yellow and giant foxtail. Including UAN in the spray solution in the absence of bentazon did not enhance the activity of any of the three grass herbicides.

Deep learning-based laser weed control compared to conventional herbicide application across three vegetable production systems. [PDF]
Pest Manag SciIn 2024, trials in New Jersey and New York evaluated the effectiveness of laser weeding with a Carbon Robotics unit compared with herbicides on beets, spinach, and peas. Results demonstrated that laser weeding was as effective or superior to herbicides in controlling weeds, reducing biomass by ≥97% and boosting crop growth by ≥30%.

Fatal Acute Poisoning by Bentazon [PDF]
Journal of Analytical Toxicology, 2003 A case of fatal suicidal bentazon poisoning is presented along with a description of the different analytical methods involved. A 56-year-old farmer was examined by the family doctor 1 h after voluntarily ingesting 500 mL of FIGHTER (bentazon, 480 g/L water). He presented a Glasgow score of 15, polypnea, diarrhea, and vomiting.
