Siral‐HPW‐Supported Pd and Ru Catalysts Evaluation for Glycerol Upgrading

open access: yesChemistrySelect, Volume 11, Issue 35, 15 September 2026.
MSiralHPW (M = Ru, Pd, and PdRu) catalysts are active in glycerol hydrogenolysis. Metal (Ru > Pd) and precursor (Cl− > NO3−) influences were verified. Promoting effect of RuO2 reduction by Pd did not influence the metallic dispersion. Residual chlorine promoted acidic sites suitable for the formation of 1,3‐PDO.

Total Synthesis of the Biologically Active, Naturally Occurring 3,4-Dibromo-5-[2-bromo-3,4-dihydroxy-6-(methoxymethyl)benzyl]benzene-1,2-diol and Regioselective O-Demethylation of Aryl Methyl Ethers

open access: yes, 2010
3,4-Dibromo-5-[2-bromo-3,4-dihydroxy-6-(methoxymethyl)benzyl]benzene-1,2-diol (2), a natural product, has been synthesized for the first time starting from (3-bromo-4,5-dimethoxyphenyl)methanol (5) in five steps and with an overall yield of 34%.

Volatile Organic Compounds in Rainwater: A New Frontier in Atmosphere–Biosphere Interactions

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Biogeosciences, Volume 131, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract Rainwater is a key vector of atmospheric deposition, linking the atmosphere with terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. While the inorganic chemistry of precipitation (dominated by sulfate, nitrate, ammonium, and trace metals) has been extensively studied, organic compounds in rainwater have received less attention, and Volatile Organic Compounds

Suscettibilità metabolica individuale nell'esposizione a basse dosi di benzene ed altri composti organici volatili.

open access: yes, 2007
Questo progetto, sia clinico che sperimentale, si prefigge di usare alcuni indicatori di dose, effetto e suscettibilità messi a punto nel precedente progetto per studiare le basi della marcata variabilità interindividuale e della diversa suscettibilità

Topliss‐Guided Optimization of Acetanilide‐Based Soluble Epoxide Hydrolase Inhibitors: Exploring the Pentafluorosulfanyl Group as a Potency‐Enhancing Motif

open access: yesChemMedChem, Volume 21, Issue 16, 27 August 2026.
Can an amide analog retain the high potency of the classic urea motif in soluble epoxide hydrolase inhibitors? Through a single unconventional switch, the introduction of the underexplored pentafluorosulfanyl group into an amide analog of TPPU, the authors restored high inhibitory potency.

Formation and Characterization of a Multicomponent Equilibrium System Derived from cis- and trans-1-Aminomethylcyclohexane-1,2-diol

open access: yes, 2016
Both cis and trans isomers of amino diols 3−6 were prepared stereoselectively. In the reactions between 3−6 and phenyl isothiocyanate, the ring closure proceeded regioselectively and resulted only in spiro derivatives of 2-phenyliminooxazolidines 9, 10 ...

Noninnocent Deep Eutectic Solvents Enable Selective, Sustainable Nickel‐Catalyzed Cross‐Electrophile Couplings to Diarylmethanes

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 16, 27 August 2026.
Ni‐catalyzed cross‐electrophile coupling (XEC) of aryl iodides with benzyl chlorides proceeds efficiently in the deep eutectic solvent (DES) choline chloride/urea, replacing hazardous amide solvents. Under mild, aerobic, heterogeneous conditions, diarylmethanes form in up to 95% yield.
