DNA‐peptide cross‐links (DpCs) are ubiquitous DNA lesions that form when cellular proteins become covalently trapped on DNA strands and are processed by proteases. DpCs are hypothesized to play a role in antitumor activity of chemotherapeutic drugs and to contribute to aging.

Noninnocent Deep Eutectic Solvents Enable Selective, Sustainable Nickel‐Catalyzed Cross‐Electrophile Couplings to Diarylmethanes

Ni‐catalyzed cross‐electrophile coupling (XEC) of aryl iodides with benzyl chlorides proceeds efficiently in the deep eutectic solvent (DES) choline chloride/urea, replacing hazardous amide solvents. Under mild, aerobic, heterogeneous conditions, diarylmethanes form in up to 95% yield.
