Effects of 6-benzylaminopurine treatments on the longevity of harvested Grevillea 'Sylvia' inflorescences [PDF]
Exogenous treatments with cytokinins, such as 6-benzylaminopurine (BA), can delay senescence of some plant tissues. Grevillea 'Sylvia' inflorescences have a short vase life. 6-benzylaminopurine (BA) supplied in vase solutions at up to 0.1 mM did not delay senescence of G. 'Sylvia' inflorescences.

This study identified that NbDPB confers resistance to potato virus X by directly activating the transcription factor NbMYB, which engages a hormone‐signalling network likely involving jasmonic acid and salicylic acid pathways. ABSTRACT As a transcriptional co‐factor of E2F, DP proteins are typically involved in the regulation of plant cell‐cycle ...

Interaction of Benzylaminopurine with Electron Transport in Plant Mitochondria during Malate Oxidation [PDF]
The effect of 6-benzylaminopurine (BA) was assayed on malate oxidation in mitochondria isolated from fresh and aged potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) slices. Depending on the experimental pH, two pathways for malate oxidation were selected. A pH of 7.7 favored the activity of malate dehydrogenase, which is connected with a rotenone-sensitive NADH ...

The influence of sodium selenite and 6-benzylaminopurine on the production process of red currant
Relevance. In modern climatic conditions, the suppression of production process occurs against the background of short-term or long-term exposure to unfavorable environmental factors on agricultural plants, and, therefore, yield decreases. In this regard,

Determination of zeatin and 6-benzylaminopurine in culture medium by HPLC.

In waxy maize production, foliar application of plant growth regulator iron chlorine e6 (ICE6) improves starch quality by altering its physicochemical properties and in vitro digestibility. Foliar application of ICE6 at 90 g ha−1 improve starch pasting properties, swelling power, starch morphology and granule size, and slowly digestible and resistant ...
