Exploring the Use and Impact of Composite Materials in Robotics: A Systematic Review
ABSTRACT Lightweight and high‐strength materials are important in robotics, as structural design impacts efficiency, payload capacity, and energy consumption. Composite materials, with their superior stiffness‐to‐weight ratios and multifunctional properties, offer clear advantages over conventional metals and polymers.

Stabilization of Euler-Bernoulli beam by nonlinear boundary feedback
We study the damping of transversal vibrations of a system of non-homogeneous connected Euler-Bernoulli beams. Controls are forces or torques applied at one end of the system. These controls are assumed to be nonlinear functions of the observed velocities of deflection.

ABSTRACT Around age four, children in urban, post‐industrial societies begin to understand the subjectivity of beliefs and other mental states: they can be true or false, and they are aspectual, representing situations under specific descriptions. These two insights have been found to emerge in tandem, suggesting a shift toward a metarepresentational ...

Eco‐evolutionary context modifies a destructive plant invader's response to climate
Abiotic environment–fitness relationships can be shaped by evolutionary, ecological, and eco‐evolutionary contexts. Summary Understanding the relationship between climate and fitness will be important when predicting how plant populations respond to climate change. We conducted a replicated common garden experiment (4 sites × 2 yr) with 96 genotypes (n

ABSTRACT Large deformations can become an important issue in induction heating applications, especially for structures with low bending stiffness, such as thin sheets. In such cases, thermal expansion induces not only substantial in‐plane stresses but also out‐of‐plane buckling, which in turn strongly influences the electromagnetic field configuration.

The Shannon Transform in Random Matrix Theory
The landmark contributions to the theory of random matrices of Wishart (1928), Wigner (1955), and Marcenko and Pastur (1967), were motivated to a large extent by their applications.
