M/M/1 Retrial Queue with Working Vacation Interruption and Feedback under N-Policy

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
We consider an M/M/1 retrial queue with working vacations, vacation interruption, Bernoulli feedback, and N-policy simultaneously. During the working vacation period, customers can be served at a lower rate.

A Steerable and Expandable Magnetic Aspiration Catheter for Enhanced Aspiration Thrombectomy

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This article presents a novel magnetic aspiration catheter (MAC) that can be both actively steered and undergo distal‐end expansion via externally applied magnetic fields. The MAC facilitates precise branch selection and enhances clot engagement by improving endovascular navigation and aspiration efficiency. Phantom experiments validate its feasibility

Optimum cost analysis for an Geo/Geo/c/N feedback queue under synchronous working vacations and impatient customers

open access: yesCroatian Operational Research Review, 2019
This paper concerns the cost optimisation analysis of a discrete-time finite-capacity multiserver queueing system with Bernoulli feedback, synchronous multiple and single working vacations, balking, and reneging during both busy and working vacation ...

Feedback Stabilization for Discrete-Time Singularly Perturbed Systems via Limited Information With Data Packet Dropout

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
This paper is concerned with the feedback stabilization of discrete time singularly perturbed systems under information constraints. First, the designed coder and decoder are connected via a limited communication channel with data packet dropout, which ...

Physics‐Grounded Probabilistic Bits for Hardware‐Efficient Intelligent Inference and Optimization

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Si–SiNx interface traps are harnessed as a complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor‐compatible source of controllable randomness for probabilistic bits. Pulse‐width‐programmed stochastic capture converts nanoscale defect dynamics into Boltzmann‐consistent binary outputs, while a physics‐based Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis model ...

Copula‐based joint modelling of emergency department visits with time‐varying dependence

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract Jointly modelling multiple correlated count time series is essential in health services research, where outcomes like emergency visits for mental health and substance use often evolve together. Ignoring these dependencies can obscure meaningful trends and limit the effectiveness of policy evaluation.

Stabilisation of hybrid stochastic differential equations by delay feedback control

open access: yes, 2008
This paper is concerned with the exponential mean-square stabilisation of hybrid stochastic differential equations (also known as stochastic dierential equations with Markovian switching) by delay feedback controls.

Observer-based sliding mode control for discrete nonlinear systems with packet losses: an event-triggered method

open access: yesSystems Science & Control Engineering, 2020
In this paper, the observer-based output feedback sliding mode control (SMC) problem is investigated for discrete delayed nonlinear systems subject to packet losses under the event-triggered strategy. It is assumed that the packet losses may occur in the
