Approximation by bivariate generalized Bernstein–Schurer operators and associated GBS operators
We construct the bivariate form of Bernstein–Schurer operators based on parameter α . We establish the Voronovskaja-type theorem and give an estimate of the order of approximation with the help of Peetre’s K -functional of our newly defined operators ...

Clock genes regulate Ca2+ signaling and mitochondrial bioenergetics to inhibit Sjogren's disease
Objective Although Ca2+ signaling and metabolism have been identified as key determinants for the development of Sjogren's disease (SjD), the intricate connection between them and salivary gland physiology remains poorly understood. Methods Fluorescence‐based Ca2+ imaging, RNA seq, and mitochondrial activity were used to investigate the effects of ...

Monotonicity properties for a ratio of finite many gamma functions
In the paper, the authors consider a ratio of finite many gamma functions and find its monotonicity properties such as complete monotonicity, the Bernstein function property, and logarithmically complete monotonicity.

Bivariate Bernstein polynomials that reproduce exponential functions
In this paper, we construct Bernstein type operators that reproduce exponential functions on simplex with one moved curved side. The operator interpolates the function at the corner points of the simplex.

‘Let's talk about the weather’: The activist curriculum and global climate change education
Abstract Activist movements have garnered significant global attention on a range of sustainability issues, often involving collectives of citizens coming together. Invoked is the idea of citizens informed to act, emerging not from a common‐sense understanding of everyday life, but rather from a deep political understanding of the world—one that is ...

Numerical solution of some class of integro-differential equations by using legendre-bernstein basis [PDF]
In this article, a numerical method is developed to solve the linear integro-differential equations. To this end, it will be divided in two forms, Fredholm integro-differential equations (FIDE) and Volterra integro-differential equations (VIDE). So that,

Moment problems related to Bernstein functions [PDF]
We give a simple proof of the moment-indeterminacy on the half-line of the sequence (n!) t for t>2, using Lin’s condition. Under a logarithmic self-decomposability assumption, the method conveys to power moment sequences defined as the rising factorials of a given Bernstein function, and to more general infinitely divisible moment sequences.

Construction of Stancu-Type Bernstein Operators Based on Bézier Bases with Shape Parameter λ
We construct Stancu-type Bernstein operators based on Bézier bases with shape parameter λ ∈ [ - 1 , 1 ] and calculate their moments. The uniform convergence of the operator and global approximation result by means of Ditzian-Totik modulus of smoothness ...

Activism as a long durée journey: Teachers against the Chilean neoliberal education model
Abstract In this paper, I use the idea of purposes of education, particularly subjectification, and the concept of love to explore long‐term teacher activism in Chile. ‘Long‐term activism’ is used to describe an ongoing struggle rather than activism confined to specific moments.

Bernstein-type theorems in hypersurfaces with constant mean curvature
By using the nodal domains of some natural function arising in the study of hypersurfaces with constant mean curvature we obtain some Bernstein-type theorems.
