Spontaneous proton transfers induced by beryllium bonds
Through the use of B3LYP/6-311+G(d,p) density functional theory (DFT) calculations, we have shown that when a molecule participates as a proton donor in a complex, it yields much stronger hydrogen bonds (HBs) if it participates simultaneously in beryllium bonds.

Surface Tension Measurement of Ti‐6Al‐4V by Falling Droplet Method in Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere
In this article, the temperature‐dependent surface tension of free falling, oscillating Ti‐6Al‐4V droplets is investigated in both argon and monosilane doped, oxygen‐free atmosphere. Droplet temperature and oscillation are captured with one single high‐speed camera, and the surface tension is calculated with Rayleigh's formula.

Bioinspired Shape‐Memory Hook Fasteners With Programmable Interlocking and Silent Release
Bioinspired hook fasteners made from epoxy shape‐memory polymers are shown to switch between strong, secure attachment and gentle, silent release when heated. By combining programmable geometry and material response, these adaptive fasteners outperform commercial systems in strength and noise control, enabling new solutions for robotics, medical ...

Beryllium bonding: insights from the σ- and π-hole analysis [PDF]
Beryllium bonding is actually a subclass of secondary bonding. Similar to the case of halogen bonding, the σ- and π-holes on the Be atom of the monomers give in zeroth approximation the direction of electrophilic attack favorable to the formation of beryllium bonds.

3D‐Printed Sulfur‐Derived Polymers With Controlled Architectures for Lithium‐Sulfur Batteries
Rheology‐guided formulation design for direct ink writing enables the fabrication of 3D sulfur copolymer cathodes with controlled architectures for lithium‐sulfur batteries. The printed electrodes exhibit multiscale porosity and high sulfur utilization, delivering enhanced electrochemical performance compared to conventional cast electrodes.

First-principles calculations of the crystal structure, electronic structure, and thermodynamic stability of Be(BH4)2 [PDF]
Alanates and boranates are intensively studied because of their potential use as hydrogen storage materials. In this paper, we present a first-principles study of the electronic structure and the energetics of beryllium boranate BeBH42. From total energy

In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.
