Metabolic Consequences of Rheumatoid Arthritis
Patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) may have metabolic disruption, which can contribute to adverse long‐term outcomes, for multiple reasons. Patients with RA appear to have a higher risk of sarcopenia, type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome, and hypertension. Systemic inflammation in RA can cause a “lipid paradox,” with reduced low‐

Bayesian-Nash vs dominant-strategy implementation with countervailing incentives: the two-type case [PDF]
We extend the principal/one-agent model with countervailing incentives to a framework in which the principal deals with two agents behaving non-cooperatively and protected by limited liability.

Contagion and state dependent mutations [PDF]
Early results of evolutionary game theory showed that the risk dominant equilibrium is uniquely selected on the long run by the best response dynamics with mutation.

Optimization incentive and relative riskiness in experimental coordination games [PDF]
We compare the experimental results of three stag-hunt games. In contrast to Battalio et al. (2001), our design keeps the riskiness ratio of the payoff-dominant and the risk-dominant strategies at a constant level as the optimisation premium is increased.

Summary Data‐driven forecasting of ship motions in waves is investigated through feedforward and recurrent neural networks as well as dynamic mode decomposition. The goal is to predict future ship motion variables based on past data collected on the field, using equation‐free approaches.

Regulatory Uncertainty and Inefficiency for the Development of Merchant Lines in Europe [PDF]
This paper evaluates regulatory uncertainty and inefficiency that may prevent merchant transmission investors from committing in Europe, in particular when they are dominant generators.

This study develops a tissue‐engineered model of the atherosclerotic cap using human mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs). After 2 weeks of culture to produce a collagenous matrix, a mineralizing medium induces microcalcifications over 4 weeks. These constructs, imaged with second harmonic generation microscopy, lead to reduced ultimate stress at rupture ...

Advertising repetition and complexity of digital signage advertisements: simplicity rules! [PDF]
Digital signage is probably the most skyrocketing advertising medium of the moment, since the LCD-screens are almost impossible to avoid in everyday life for consumers, while few academic research is present to explore the potential of this medium.

We established exact in order estimates an approximation of the Sobolev classes $W^{\boldsymbol{r}}_{p,\boldsymbolα}(\mathbb{T}^d)$ of periodic functions of many variables with a bounded dominating mixed derivative. The approximation is made using trigonometric polynomials with the spectrum in step-hyperbolic crosses, and the error is estimated in the ...
