Stacked Convolutional and Recurrent Neural Networks for Bird Audio Detection
This paper studies the detection of bird calls in audio segments using stacked convolutional and recurrent neural networks. Data augmentation by blocks mixing and domain adaptation using a novel method of test mixing are proposed and evaluated in regard ...

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

MiR‐513a promotes human erythroid differentiation by modulating c‐Jun
During early human erythropoiesis, miR‐513a promoted erythroid differentiation in primary human CD34+ hematopoietic stem‐progenitor cells and human TF‐1 erythroleukemic cells by indirectly decreasing c‐Jun and phospho‐c‐Jun expression, which are associated with increased GATA1 expression.

Achieving the First Best in Sequencing Problems [PDF]
In a sequencing problem with linear time cost, Suijs (1996) proved that it is possible to achieve first best. By first best we mean that one can find mechanisms that satisfy efficiency of decision, dominant strategy incentive compatibility and budget ...

Advertising repetition and complexity of digital signage advertisements: simplicity rules! [PDF]
Digital signage is probably the most skyrocketing advertising medium of the moment, since the LCD-screens are almost impossible to avoid in everyday life for consumers, while few academic research is present to explore the potential of this medium.

Association of Corticospinal Tract Asymmetry With Ambulatory Ability After Intracerebral Hemorrhage
ABSTRACT Background Ambulatory ability after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is important to patients. We tested whether asymmetry between ipsi‐ and contra‐lesional corticospinal tracts (CSTs) assessed by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is associated with post‐ICH ambulation.
