Serum protein fingerprinting by PEA immunoassay coupled with a pattern-recognition algorithms distinguishes MGUS and multiple myeloma [PDF]
Serum protein fingerprints associated with MGUS and MM and their changes in MM after autologous stem cell transplantation (MM-ASCT, day 100) remain unexplored.

Andreev reflections on Y1-xCaxBa2Cu3O7-delta evidence for an unusual proximity effect
We have measured Andreev reflections between an Au tip and Y_{1-x}Ca_{x}Ba_{2}Cu_{3}O_{7 - \delta} thin films in the in-plane orientation. The conductance spectra are best fitted with a pair potential having the "d_{x^{2}-y^{2}+is" symmetry. We find that

Best Proximity Pair Theorems for Multifunctions with Open Fibres
Let \(A\) and \(B\) be non-empty subsets of a normed linear space \(E\), and let \(T:A\to 2^B\) be a convex multi-valued function with open fibres \(T^{-1}(y)\) (i.e.) \(\{x\in X:y\in Tx\}\). For an element \(x_0\in A\) sufficient conditions are found so that \(\text{dist}(x_0, Tx_0)= \text{dist}(A,B)\).

Best Proximity Pairs for Upper Semicontinuous Set-Valued Maps in Hyperconvex Metric Spaces
A best proximity pair for a set-valued map F:A⊸B with respect to a map g:A→A is defined, and new existence theorems of best proximity pairs for upper semicontinuous set-valued maps with respect to a homeomorphism are proved in hyperconvex ...

Majorana bound states exist inside a core of half-quantum vortex in spin-triplet superconductors. Despite intense efforts, they have not been discovered in any spin-triplet superconductor candidate materials.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Bi-layer Kinetic Inductance Detectors for space observations between 80-120 GHz [PDF]
We have developed Lumped Element Kinetic Inductance Detectors (LEKID) sensitive in the frequency band from 80 to 120~GHz. In this work, we take advantage of the so-called proximity effect to reduce the superconducting gap of Aluminium, otherwise strongly

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Best Proximity Pair Theorems for Noncyclic Mappings in Banach and Metric Spaces [PDF]
Let A and B be two nonempty subsets of a metric space X. A mapping T : A[B ! A[B is said to be noncyclic if T(A) A and T(B) B. For such a mapping, a pair (x; y) 2 A B such that Tx = x, Ty = y and d(x; y) = dist(A;B) is called a best proximity ...
