On best proximity points of interpolative proximal contractions

Quaestiones Mathematicae, 2020
In this paper, we introduce some kinds of interpolative proximal contractions named as Reich-Rus-Ćirić and Kannan types. Then taking into account the aforementioned mappings, we give a few best proximity point results. As special cases we obtain some fixed point results for interpolative contractions. To support the theory, some examples are provided.

Summary: In this paper, the notion of a cyclic generalized JSC-proximal contraction is introduced, which is a generalization of \textit{A. Abkar} et al. [Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2016, Paper No. 66, 19 p. (2016; Zbl 1342.41037)]. Also, we give two new notions of cyclic generalized JSC-proximal contraction of 1st kind and 2nd kind.
