SOME COMMENTS ON BEST PROXIMITY POINTS FOR ORDERED PROXIMAL CONTRACTIONS
Summary: In this article, we focus on the existence of an optimal approximate solution, designated as a best proximity point for non-self mappings which are ordered proximal contractions in the setting of partially ordered metric spaces and prove that these results are particular cases of existing fixed point theorems in the literature.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Best proximity points for proximal contractions [PDF]
In this paper we improve and extend some best proximity point results concerning the so- called proximal contractions. Specifically, compactness assumptions under the sets A and B are removed to consider completeness conditions ...

Correspondence matching with modal clusters [PDF]
The modal correspondence method of Shapiro and Brady aims to match point-sets by comparing the eigenvectors of a pairwise point proximity matrix. Although elegant by means of its matrix representation, the method is notoriously susceptible to differences

Common Best Proximity Points for Cyclic φ-Contraction Maps
The purpose of this paper is to introduce new types of contraction condition for a pair of maps $(S,T)$ in metric spaces. We give convergence and existence results of best proximity points of such maps in the setting of uniformly convex Banach spaces ...

Best Proximity Points for Generalized α-ψ-Proximal Contractive Type Mappings
We introduce a new class of non-self-contractive mappings. For such mappings, we study the existence and uniqueness of best proximity points. Several applications and interesting consequences of our obtained results are derived.

Quadruple Best Proximity Points with Applications to Functional and Integral Equations
This manuscript is devoted to obtaining a quadruple best proximity point for a cyclic contraction mapping in the setting of ordinary metric spaces. The validity of the theoretical results is also discussed in uniformly convex Banach spaces.

Best proximity points revisited
In this paper, using the concept of w-distance on a metric space, we prove some new best proximity point results for the mappings of Meir-Keeler type. As an application, we derive some recent best proximity point results of the aforementioned type.

Best proximity point theorems for rational proximal contractions [PDF]
Abstract We provide sufficient conditions which warrant the existence and uniqueness of the best proximity point for two new types of contractions in the setting of metric spaces. The presented results extend, generalize and improve some known results from best proximity point theory and fixed-point theory.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative
