Best response dynamics for role games [PDF]
In a role game, players can condition their strategies on their player position in the base game. If the base game is strategically equivalent to a zero-sum game, the set of Nash equilibria of the role game is globally asymptotically stable under the best response dynamics.

Knowledge and best responses in games [PDF]
Processes of iterated elimination of strategies that are not best responses are studied. Some suggestions are made about how rational players may use their mutual knowledge about game and behavior.

A GENERALIZED MODEL OF BEST RESPONSE ADAPTATION
International Game Theory Review, 2006We present a generalized model of myopic best response adaptation in large populations. In asymmetric conflicts, individuals can be in the role of the row player or the column player. The idea that an individual's role need not be fixed is introduced explicitly in our model by a process of role switching.

This chapter introduces a dynamic process called the best response dynamics. This is an evolutionary process that does not require full rationality of the game players.

Adaptive learning and p-best response sets
International Journal of Game Theory, 2011A product set of strategies is a p-best response set if for each agent it contains all best responses to any distribution placing at least probability p on his opponents’ profiles belonging to the product set. A p-best response set is minimal if it does not properly contain another p-best response set. We study a perturbed joint fictitious play process
