Development of Nanoflare Nanosensors for Monitoring Cellular Insulin mRNA in Beta Cells and Islets
This study presents the design and application of In2‐NF probes for detecting insulin mRNA in beta cells and islets. Using spherical nucleic acid‐coated gold nanoparticles, the probes offer strong fluorescent signals upon hybridization. Their performance is validated across 2D and 3D cultures and rat islets, demonstrating sensitive, real‐time mRNA ...

Changes in electrophysiological markers of cognitive control after administration of galantamine
The healthy brain is able to maintain a stable balance between bottom-up sensory processing and top-down cognitive control. The neurotransmitter acetylcholine plays a substantial role in this.

Milled polycrystalline NMC811 cathode (MPC NMC) with smaller secondary particle and higher surface area had 1) greater cathode tortuosity, 2) reduced surface Ni on the cycled MPC cathodes consistent with surface reconstruction, and 3) increased Ni deposition from cathode‐anode crosstalk, manifesting in lower functional capacity and higher impedance ...

Laser‐assisted synthesis enables rapid (within 1 h) and high‐yield (≥90%) production of Co‐MOFs with mesoporous structures, tunable magnetic and optical properties, and efficient adsorption of N2, CH4, and CO2 for low‐energy gas separation. DFT calculations elucidate the electronic structure and adsorption behavior.

Skin‐Like Tri‐Modal Sensors Based on Soft Piezoelectric and Ionic Composites
Inspired by the multimodal perception of human skin, a soft, skin‐like tri‐modal sensor is presented. The device incorporates an ionically conductive, piezoelectric, elastic composite as its active layer, enabling independent detection of temperature, static strain, and dynamic strain within a single two‐terminal architecture.

Asteroseismology of beta Cephei and Be type stars
The thesis focuses on the asteroseismology of main sequence B-type stars, particularly \(\beta\) Cephei and Be stars. Photometric observations of these stars were analysed in order to detect stellar oscillations.

The mammalian olfactory bulb (OB) generates gamma (40 – 100 Hz) and beta (15 – 30 Hz) oscillations of the local field potential (LFP). Gamma oscillations arise at the peak of inhalation supported by dendrodendritic interactions between glutamatergic ...
