Functional significance of Ca2+ oscillations in pancreatic beta cells
Several aspects of pancreatic beta cell function display marked oscillations even during continuous stimulation with a stable glucose concentration. This review article focuses on the characteristics, mechanisms and potential roles of the oscillations of

Beta bursts in the parkinsonian cortico-basal ganglia network form spatially discrete ensembles
Defining spatial synchronisation of pathological beta oscillations is important, given that many theories linking them to parkinsonian symptoms propose a reduction in the dimensionality of the coding space within and/or across cortico-basal ganglia ...

This work presents a state‐adaptive Koopman linear quadratic regulator framework for real‐time manipulation of a deformable swab tool in robotic environmental sampling. By combining Koopman linearization, tactile sensing, and centroid‐based force regulation, the system maintains stable contact forces and high coverage across flat and inclined surfaces.

Automated poultry processing lines still rely on humans to lift slippery, easily bruised carcasses onto a shackle conveyor. Deformability, anatomical variance, and hygiene rules make conventional suction and scripted motions unreliable. We present ChicGrasp, an end‐to‐end hardware‐software co‐designed imitation learning framework, to offer a ...

High-frequency oscillations and the neurobiology of schizophrenia
Neural oscillations at low- and high-frequency ranges are a fundamental feature of large-scale networks. Recent evidence has indicated that schizophrenia is associated with abnormal amplitude and synchrony of oscillatory activity, in particular, at high (

A flexible, skin‐integrated electromagnetic actuator is developed for wearable virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR) haptic systems. A tunable design model enables control over displacement and resonance frequency. The system is validated through a custom VR application with a 6 × 4 actuator array, demonstrating real‐time, spatially targeted tactile ...

Prior Expectations Bias Confidence Judgments Through Parietal Alpha‐Band Modulation
ABSTRACT Humans possess the metacognitive ability to estimate the likely accuracy of their own decisions through confidence judgments. Yet, whether prior information shapes confidence and the neural mechanisms mediating such influence, remain to be determined.
