The Flexible Beta Regression Model

2017
This chapter aims to study the performances of a new regression model for continuous variables with bounded support that extends the well-known beta regression model. Under the new regression model, the response variable is assumed to have a flexible beta (FB) distribution, a special mixture of two beta distributions that can be interpreted as the ...

Betas and their Regression Tendencies: Some Further Evidence

The Journal of Finance, 1979
IN [1], I PROPOSED a model to interpret the behavior of beta coefficients over time. Without going into every detail, that model hypothesized that the beta coefficients of a set of securities at two points in time could be interpreted as drawings from a multivariate normal distribution.

Marginal beta regression for time series analysis

2012
A marginal beta regression model with autoregressive and moving average errors is developed for the analysis of time series of values in the standard unit interval (0,1), such as proportions and rates. The dependence structure is conveniently related to the marginal model through a Gaussian copula specification.
